Quick Answer

Items are puzzle keys. If a shelf order does not make sense, first look for a missing object near the matching clue station: books, flowers, clock hands, powders, chess pieces, compass displays, cards, symbol racks, moon clue objects, and small room props can all define the order.

How To Use A Clue

Restore the missing object first, then read the completed station. Do not sort from potion appearance until the clue tells you what feature matters.

For a moon clue, finish the clue station before copying any sequence. If a Moon phase shelf error appears or the shelf rejects the order, look for an orange moon / phase clue or missing moon clue object before changing the sort.

Room Search Pattern

Use the same sweep whenever a clue looks incomplete:

  1. Check the shelf connected to the rejected puzzle.
  2. Look around the nearest clue station and its base.
  3. Rotate or move the camera to reveal objects hidden by furniture, rails, or foreground clutter.
  4. Pick up suspicious loose objects and test whether they snap back to the station.
  5. Read the station only after the object set is complete.
